Wesley John Barlow

February 14, 1932 ~ October 25, 2017

Wesley John Barlow, 85, died October 25th, 2017 in Brigham City, Utah, of causes incident to age. He was born in Oak City, Utah on February 14, 1932 to Nell Lovell and Roy Jesse Barlow. He was raised in Grouse Creek, Lucin, and Brigham City, and graduated from Box Elder High School. He married Eleanor Maxine (Mickie) Tew on September 4, 1952 in the Salt Lake temple for time and eternity. He graduated from the University of Utah, and received his Masters Degrees from Auburn University and from the Air Force Institute of Technology. He served in the Air Force and traveled the world where they raised their six children. They eventually settled back in Brigham City, where he retired from the Air Force and ATK Thiokol. He was a member of the Sons of the Utah Pioneers. He was active in the LDS church and always served the Lord wherever they lived. He and Mickie served missions at the LDS Employment office and The Conference Center, and have loved attending the temple. He loved his family and had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ. He will be missed. He is survived by his wife Mickie of Brigham City and children: Julianne Barlow, Bountiful; Joseph (Janet) Barlow, Salt Lake City; Lynn (Kathy) Barlow, Brigham City; Coleen (Gene) Olsen, Huntersville, NC; Andrew (Laura) Barlow, Eagle Mountain; 23 grandchildren, and 33 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Carol Anne, son David, grandson Douglas, and son-in-law Alan Allred. Special thanks to The Gables of Brigham City and to Hospice for their care and kindness. A viewing will be held on Friday, Nov. 3rd from 6-8 PM at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, Utah and a viewing will be held on Saturday, Nov. 4th from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Forest Hills Ward, 25 North 300 East, Brigham City, Utah. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday Nov. 4th at the church. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded by the Box Elder Combined Veterans Honor Guard. Email condolences to www.gilliesfuneralchapel.com.

We send our love and condolences to Mickie and the family. Wes was an outstanding friend, co-worker, and a friend to all. We have missed our association the past few year but our love continues. Wes was an outstanding Supervisor and will always be appreciated by us.
