Ronald Lewis Webster died Friday March 24, 2017 at 80 years of age from kidney failure. During his life, Ron was many things. He was an adventurer crisscrossing the country with his family of 13 children, plus a few extras, for school, for work and for fun. Some of our most treasured moments were on road trips with dad driving and leading us in silly songs and telling stories. Ron was a scholar. He finished his education with a doctorate in mechanical and aerospace engineering. His learning didn't stop there. He knew all sorts of interesting things and had a thirst for learning. He shared his love of learning with his children. Whenever we had a question about anything we knew we could go ask dad. Ron was the authority in our home and we hated to get into trouble, but he loved all his children. He was the story-teller, the "sleeping giant" and the center of our rowdy rumpuses. Ron was also a religious scholar. He understood the scriptures innately and loved the doctrine of the church. The gospel took center stage in our home because of his, and Mom's, testimony and conviction. He suffered major challenges with his physical, mental and emotional health toward the end of his life, but through it all he was our father, our grandfather, our guiding star. He will be sorely missed. He is joining his wife Linda, his three sons, and his granddaughter. His is survived by his remaining five sons and five daughters, 35 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Brigham City LDS 4th Ward Chapel, 25 North 300 East. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, UT and on Wednesday at the church from 9:00 to 9:40 a.m. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
What great people were your parents, they always served with a whole heart and with great knowledge. They raised an awesome family and I will miss them.
