BRIGHAM CITY - Mildred A. Sutherland Hively, 83, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017 at her home in Brigham City, after a valiant fight with Pancreatic Cancer. She was born on April 5, 1934 in Wayne City, Illinois to Arnold James and Mabel Donoho Sutherland. On November 5, 1950, she married the love of her life, David Sherman Hively in Barry, Illinois. She is survived by her daughter, Nina (Jerry) Palmer of Iowa; daughter –in-law, Gretchen (Lance) Parker of Roy, UT; six grandchildren, Andy, Beth, Michelle, Brandi, Ashley, Chance and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Sherman Hively, son David Wayne Hively, her parents and one sister and two brothers. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Main Street Church, 48 North Main, Brigham City. Mildred was buried next to her husband, David at the Brigham City Cemetery. The family would like to thank CNS Hospice for their loving care they provided for Mildred, especially to her nurse, Misti Nelson and her social worker, Jason Bohman. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Community Nursing Services, 345 North Main Street, Brigham City, 84302, where she had volunteered for the last 3 years since the passing of her husband. So sorry to hear of Aunt Mildred's passing. What a wonderful reunion she is now having with Uncle Bud and the Hively clan. I always thought of Aunt Mildred as a generous, gentle soul. So sorry we can't be with you but know that you are close in our thoughts and prayers.
