Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. They have four children, LaVon and the late Larry Rose (Brigham City), Bob and Linda Baron (Bend, Oregon), Betty and Mark Cowley (North Ogden), Gary and Emily Baron (Ogden). Melva has been active throughout her life in the community participating in women's civic groups as well as Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Melva and Dale served as Grand Marshalls of the Peach Days Parade 2016. Melva was honored as Mother of the Year an honor well deserved, as she was a wonderful mother. Melva has also been involved throughout her life in church service, serving in the primary on a ward and stake level. She has been an example to those in her life of being a happy, pleasant woman having lived her life well and filled with love. She attributes her success in life to always looking for the good. She was proceeded in death by her parents Palmer and Juanita Siegfried and her brother Bud Siegfried. She is survived by her husband Dale Baron, her 4 children, 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
