Brigham City-Jeanette Green passed peacefully at home on February 22, 2017. She was born in Hancock County Illinois at her Grandparent's Gustav Prox, farm. She was born on September 3, 1931 to Clyde E Prox and Lolita F Thrasher. Her family settled in Burlington Iowa where she completed her education at Burlington High School. Jeanette met Darrell Shivers and they were married March 31, 1951. They were blessed with four children; Matthew J (Mary) Shivers, Stephen R (Ellyn) Shivers, Kathy S Shivers, and Thomas L (Mary Ellen) Shivers. They were later divorced. Jeanette married Max W Green on October 15, 1977 and Max brought three more children to the family; Tammy (Mike) Hess, Cindy (Jim) Kannegiesser, and Dixie Jones. They were the grandparents to 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Jeanette worked as a secretary at Parsons Ready-Mix, where she met Max, and Golden Corral as a waitress where she retired after 20 years. She was also a volunteer at Brigham City Community Hospital for over 20 years, where she served as president and received the volunteer of the year award in 2000. But Jeanette said her favorite job was being a mother. Her children were the joy of her life. During her lifetime Jeanette was involved in many things. She taught Sunday school, served as PTA president, Cub Scout den mother, and in her spare time helped deliver meals on wheels throughout the community. Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Max; parents; grandson, Michael Jones; all but one sibling. She is survived by her children; one sister Martha Ann Rente of Burlington Iowa; 14 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to Jeanette's celebration of life on Sunday, February 26, at 3:00 pm at the Presbyterian Community Church, 311 S 100 E in Brigham City, Utah. Interment will be at the Brigham City Cemetery at a later date. The family would like to express their thanks to Leora, Jason, and Janine of CNS Hospice for their dedicated care of our mother. Dr. Lewis, assistant Dixie and the entire staff of Brigham Eye Specialists for their care and kindness.

To all the family of my dear sister-in-law Jeanette: May the assurance of knowing that she is rejoicing in a great reunion with loved ones gone before, in the presence of our Savior, bring peace and comfort to your hearts. What an inspiration she is in so many ways to us all. We are sorrowful in her absence from us but rejoice in her being in the Lord's presence. Yours in Christ,
