BRIGHAM CITY - Vickie Roxanne Fisher Jacobson died, surrounded by her family, on June 12, 2016 after a valiant fight with cancer. She was born on February 14, 1956 to George James Fisher and Myra Fern Chandler. She spent her early years in Michigan and California, ultimately settling in Ogden, Utah with her family. She attended Ogden area schools, graduating from Ben Lomond High School in 1974. She married her high school sweetheart, Randy Jacobson, on August 9, 1974. Of their union came three children; Brandon, Ryan and Amber. In 1994, Vickie achieved a monumental goal - graduating from college while raising her family. She earned a bachelor's degree in business management, followed by a master's of business in 2002. During her life, she worked for Thiokol, Autoliv and MarketStar. Vickie was strong-willed, sweet spirit who touched the lives of so many. She was grandma to all. She saw to it that the family Christmas party was planned and everybody got a gift, sat on Santa's lap and went home well-fed. Even when her health declined, she still insisted on taking care of others. She collected Precious Moments figurines, loved angels and, being a Valentine's baby, hearts. Vickie and Randy were blessed to be the grandparents of 10 grandchildren, including 3 sets of twin girls. They are: Shaylee, Casey, Brooke and Breanne, Brady, Lizzie, Katherine and Emma and Penelope and Aleksandra. Her grandchildren were her world. Vickie is survived by her husband, Randy, her children Brandon (Steffanie), Ryan (Karen) and Amber (Jim). She is also survived by her parents, George and Myra Fisher of Ogden, Utah, her father-in-law, Reed Jacobson, of Ogden, Utah, as well as her brothers, Rick Fisher (Nancy) and Robert Fisher (Karen). She was preceded in death by her brother, James Todd Fisher, her sister, Tamara Elizabeth Fisher and her mother in law, Donna Marie Jacobson. To our mom - we will carry you in our hearts, always. Words cannot describe how much we will miss you, your love and your comfort. To my beautiful wife, I love you. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City. Viewings will be held on Thursday, June 16th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 to 10:40 a.m. at the funeral chapel. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
I will miss your friendship so much. You were an inspiration for many people and a huge role model for your children and grandchildren. RIP Vicki
One of the things that I have always admired about Vickie was her constant smile and kind spirit. She represented the best of what it meant to be a "Scot."

Dear Jacobson Family:
I am so sorry for your loss. Please accept my sincere condolences. It breaks our hearts when death separates us from the ones we love so much. The Bible reminds us that God sees our pain and sorrow and has promised that soon "death will be no more."(Revelation 21:4) He will heal our broken hearts by resurrecting our precious loved ones to life again.(Acts 24:15) Until then, I hope the memories of Vickie and these promises from God comfort you in the days to come.
I'm so sorry to hear of Vickie's passing. She was so fun to be around and had such a sweet spirit. My thoughts and prayers are with the Jacobson and Fisher families during this very difficult time. Rest Peacefully Vickie
I'm so sorry for your loss. Vickie rest in peace. I miss you.
