Honeyville-Our loving son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend, John Chase Eggleston, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016 from injuries sustained in a car accident. Chase was born January 7, 1993 in Logan, Utah, to V. Gene Eggleston and Kathleen Marie Gill. Chase was raised in Honeyville and Cache Valley, Utah and graduated from Box Elder High School in 2011. Chase was a fantastic artist and potter. He enjoyed sketching contemporary pieces and throwing pottery. He enjoyed spending time camping. Chase was a Lego builder extraordinaire. Music expressed how he felt. He was an enthusiast of classic cars and anything that would go fast. He loved spending time with his family. The favorite time of the summer was family reunions and tubing down the river in Lava. He was known for his smile, laughter and his loving nature. He could always find the positive things in others. Chase’s younger brothers, Kenneth Jesse, Oren Porter, Mikol Garett and Dalton “Bubba” idolized him. Chase is survived by his parents, V. Gene Eggleston (Stephanie), Kathy Wynn (Bob); brothers, Kenneth Jesse, Oren Porter, Mikol Garett Eggleston and Dalton “Bubba” Maughan; sister, Stephanie Quintero; grandparents, Richard Gill, Ray Christensen and Carol Christensen and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Janice Gill, John and Sharon Eggleston. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the Honeyville LDS 3rd Ward, 2620 West 6980 North, at noon. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 11:00-11:40 a.m.
Chase, you will be missed Bro, nephew. Until we meet again!
