Bear River- Our father, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend, Gene Earl Bunderson, died on September 10, 2016, at his home due to an accidental house fire. Gene was born on September 13, 1948, in Ogden to Arnold Earl Bunderson & Dolores Patrecia Howell. Gene graduated from Box Elder High School. He was drafted into the US Army right out of high school. Gene served in Vietnam from 1968-1970. Gene worked at Hill Air Force Base for 34 years and retired in 2004. After retirement, Gene kicked back and watched the world go by. Gene married Christy Corbett in 1968. To this marriage three children were born, Paul Gene, Tonie Christine and April Ann. Gene married Susan Holt in 1980. They were later divorced. Gene loved fishing, camping, and riding horses. He learned early in life how to fix and maintain his own vehicles as well as doing auto body work. Growing up, his family could count on him anytime, anywhere. Like his dad, his word was his bond. He leaves behind his three children, Paul (Leah), Helena, Montana, Tonie (John) Sanchez, San Francisco, California, and April (Sam) Campbell, Brigham City, Utah; 6 grandchildren, Sophia, Austin, Stephan, Jaydan, Aiden & Darwin; 7 siblings, Kathleen (Jack) Hensley, Carol (Darrell) Stokes, Randy, Cheryl Ewing, Rex (Grace), Patrecia (Dan) Anderson and Tim; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Love you till we meet again, Your Family. Remember, this is not the end, it’s just the beginning. Memorial Services will be held at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham UT, Friday, September 23, 2016 at Noon. The family will greet friends prior to the service from 11:00-11:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Ogden City Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded.
