BRIGHAM CITY – Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, Chryl Lynn Swallow Nielson, 69, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 27, 2016 at her home in Brigham City, Utah. She was born on August 12, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a daughter of Kyle Truman and Rose Lindsay Swallow. She was reared and educated in Murray, graduating from Murray High School. She also attended Steven Henager’s where she studied secretarial duties. Chryl married her sweetheart, LaMonte Jensen Nielson on July 21, 1971 in the Logan LDS Temple. She served in the LDS church as a Primary, Relief Society teacher, chorister and Cub Scout Leader. Chryl loved to sew, read, sing and most of all go on camping trips with her family. The family would like to thank all the medical professionals and Integrity Home Health and Hospice for their tender loving care of Chryl. Surviving is her husband, Lamonte; three children and three step children, Chryl Lynn Nielson; Wendy Kay (Kraig) Cutler; Kyle LaMonte Nielson; Ruth Marie Moller; Beth (Toby) Perry; Kim Christensen; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Kayden Cutler; six step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren, her father, Kyle T. (Mary) Swallow; and one brother, Todd (Charlene) Swallow. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rose Lindsay Swallow, one daughter, Laurel Marie Nielson and one brother, Hardy Kofoed. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, UT. Viewings will be held on Friday, June 3rd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 to 10:40 a.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Milton Cemetery, Milton, Utah.
Dear Uncle Kyle, So sorry to hear of the passing of Cheryl, Sherri as I knew her. Our prayers are with you and may she rest in peace. Love,
