Brigham City – Our loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, Bobby Lee Ludwig, 73, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 25, 2016 in Ogden, Utah. He was born on September 10, 1942 in Compton, California, a son of Grover Lloyd and Mildred Alice Armstrong Ludwig. He graduated from Ventura High School. Bobby served in the Vietnam War and served for 20 years in the US Navy. Following his service, he worked several different jobs with his final job being with Dixie Printing in St. George, UT. He married Daneec Ipsen on July 7, 2007 in the Ogden LDS Temple. Bobby was the first member of his family to join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was an active member of the Brigham City 21st Ward, where he had been a High Priest Counselor and home teacher. Bobby was very active in family history, extensive genealogy and temple work. He also enjoyed traveling, cooking and being with his family. Surviving are his wife, Daneec of Brigham City; two sons, Camron (Amber) Wright; James Stanley Ludwig; three daughters, Valeree (Carl) Durbin; Monica (Chris) Holdaway; Heather (Colt) Anderson; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, Margie (Ken) Durrell and Shirley Reed. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, two sisters, and one brother-in-law. A special thank you to Stonehenge Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ogden for their loving care of Bobby. The family would like no flowers or plants please. Memorial services will be held on Monday, May 2, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, UT. Family will greet friends on Monday from 12 Noon to 1:40 p.m. at the funeral chapel. It was Bobby’s desire to be cremated and therefore there will be no viewing. Interment will be in the Willard City Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans of Box Elder County.
