Our beloved Aunt passed away peacefully Friday, March 13, 2015 surrounded by loved ones. Wanda was born December 17, 1917 in Ogden, Utah to Joseph J. and Florence Emma Wright Bott. She married Leo Devon Cottam on August 20, 1933 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were sealed in the Ogden Temple in 1976. They had one son Gary who passed away at the age of 16 and was greatly missed since he died. Devon and Wanda loved to travel and visited many states and foreign countries together. Devon died on April 11, 1983 and Wanda longed for the time they would be together again. Wanda loved to golf and play cards with friends and had a talent for Japanese Bunka (punched embroidery). Wanda collected knick knacks and jewelry from everywhere she traveled and her home was full of them along with a special candy dish which she kept full for her visitors especially the kids and the young men who bought the Sacrament every Sunday to her. Wanda was always dressed to perfect every morning by 8:30 makeup and hair done. She waited for Paul, her nephew to bring her her morning shake and watch Let's Make A Deal. She was very independent right up to the end and prided herself in that. Wanda was very witty and had a sharp sense of humor that her friends and family enjoyed. She is survived by many nieces and nephews (great and great-great too) that adored her. Her last few years were spent at the home of her niece Bonnie (Paul Perkins) who took care of her in a very loving manner. Kimber Brady and Melissa great niece and nephew lived with Bonnie and Paul for a short time They spent time with her and took their children to visit her and had great times talking to her and laughing. Special thanks to Paul and Bonnie as well as her hospice nurses Stephanie and Brittney that she kept on their toes but she enjoyed. She taught all of us how to make her bed the right way lol! She had a very special home teacher and friend Brother Martin who kept with good books to read and she read them fast. She also had a very dear friend Julie Williams that brought flowers and friendship always, Great Relief society and visiting teacher, she loved to visit with family and friends. We would also like to thank Ogden Regional Medical Center for her care during her final week. She was preceded in death by her husband, Devon, one son, Gary Devon, one sister, Bernice and three brothers, Wright, Ralph and Dean Bott. "Her famous last Words, I'm still here can you believe it " No more Homesick Aunt Wanda We love you!
