Kenneth S Scott

BRIGHAM CITY – Our loving brother, uncle, and friend, Kenneth Spencer Scott, 71, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Pioneer Care Center in Brigham City, UT. He was born on July 20, 1943 in Laconia, New Hampshire, the son of William Stafford and Jeanne Richardson Scott. He attended and graduated from Fairmont State in Fairmont, West Virginia. He continued his education at Temple University, where he received two Master’s degrees in Library Science and African History. Ken led a group Bible Study, taught General Studies in High School, Christian Academies and Sue Bennet College in Kentucky. He loved playing football at Ellwood City, and Fairmont State College, he also loved basketball, swimming, track and field. He was a son of a Presbyterian minister and was active in church work all his life. Surviving are three brothers, Richard (Ann) Scott, Brigham City, UT; Dr. T. Gordon Scott, Winston Salem, N.C.; John (Joanne) Scott, Prescott, AZ, and three nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The fact was, his bags were packed and he was ready to go home. His favorite saying was, “One day closer home.”
Our very deepest sympathy to all of you as you grieve the loss of Ken. We grieve with you. He is where he wanted to be and is happy with our Lord. The last words I said to him was "goodbye and save me a seat" God's peace,
