Eula Jacobsen Olsen

Eula Jacobsen Olsen died November 4, 2015 surrounded by family at Ogden Regional Medical Center. She was born December 6, 1919 in Oak City, Utah. Her parents were Ole William and Sylvia Alice Jacobson. Eula and Lloyd Reynold Olsen were married in the Manti Utah LDS Temple on December 20, 1940. They made their home in Brigham City, Utah. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her home was filled with music and her artistic touch. She shared her musical talent in church and community by singing and playing the guitar. An active member of the LDS Church, she served in her ward as chorister, choir director, teacher of youth and secretary in the Relief Society. She also served in the stake Relief Society, stake Young Women’s organization and as an Ordinance worker in the Ogden Utah LDS Temple. She was also a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and the Lady’s Community Club. She worked for two years as a cook at Central School and then worked at the Ogden Service Center of the IRS. Eula was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a sister Leah, brothers Milan, Thurlow, Maiben, Verl, and one great granddaughter. She is survived by a sister Aletha Dewsnup, children Annette Olsen, Sheldon Olsen, Clare (Camille) Olsen and Ritchie (Barbie) Olsen; eight grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. A viewing will be held Saturday November 14, 2015 from 10 to 11:45 a.m. at the Brigham City 10th Ward, 145 West 500 South. The funeral will be held at 12 noon. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
