Interment: Brigham City Cemetery

McLaughlin, Wilda May, "Billie," born August 27, 1920, in Philadelphia, PA, youngest child of 2 daughters of William and Helen Cassaday. Billie passed away Monday, January 20, 2014, a result of declining health over the past year. Billie moved to Brigham City in 1974 with her husband, John, who began working for Morton-Thiokol at that time. Billie remained in Brigham City after John died in 2000, and was able to do so thanks to the very willing, compassionate folks in town, who stepped up to offer help and support to her as she managed life on her own without John. In 2009 Billie became unable to live safely on her own, and with much coaxing (she really did not want to leave her home in Brigham City), she chose to relocate to the East Coast to be near her remaining family, her 2 daughters. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Fonner, her 2 sons, Paul Fonner, his wife, Angelina and their 3 children, Serena, Elana and Moira, along with his brother, Kevin Fonner, his wife, Karla and their 2 children Morgan and Mackenzie Fonner. She is also survived by her daughter Maureen McLaughlin, and her 3 children, Matthew, Mara, and Zak Supan and his wife Paola. At her request, she has returned home to her final resting place beside her husband, John. They came to love the small community of Brigham City and the beauty of the Wasatch mountains, a place of peace for them then and now everlasting. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 31st at 11:00 am. at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, UT. There will be no viewing per request of Wilda. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
