He was born on April 29, 1950 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a son of Thomas Franklin and Evelyn Rae Brown Freeman. He graduated from Wendover High School, Wendover, Utah in 1968. Tom served in the Nevada National Guard for seven years. Tom married his sweetheart, Chloe Sweat on August 18, 1970 in Wendover, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Jordan River LDS Temple. He is currently a member of the Perry LDS 5th Ward, where he worked as a temple ordinance worker in the Brigham City LDS Temple. Tom, along with his dog "Clyde", was also a part of American Search Dogs. His greatest joy was his family. He never missed an activity that his grandchildren were participating in. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of such a great man! I enjoyed working with Tom for several years at Cerro-wire. He was always very kind and helpful as a supervisor. After I quit, I would go back and visit friends at the plant from time to time. Tom always remembered the names of my family and was eager to hear how everything was going! He loved to share stories about his children and grandchildren. I will keep your family in my prayers during this difficult time.
