Mass of Christian Burial: Friday, March 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Henry’s Catholic Church, 380 South 200 East, Brigham City
Interment: Brigham City Cemetery
BRIGHAM CITY – Senorina “Rena” C. Garza, our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away peacefully at her home at the age of 84, surrounded by her loving family and friends on Monday, March 24, 2014. Senorina was born on April 22, 1929 in Stockdale, Texas to Jose Angel and Atanacia Gonzales Cardenas. On June 14, 1947, she married her Eternal Love Julian H. Garza. They were married for 58 wonderful years. Together they raised 5 children, surviving are 4 children, Mary Ann G. Rivera, Simon C. Garza, Eddy (Betsy) Garza all of Brigham City; Cecilia (Jose Luis) Villa of Ogden; 19 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; one brother, Sam (Josephine) Cardenas of Brigham City. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Julian Garza Jr., one sister, Patsy C. Silva, three brothers, Jacinto, Benito, and John Cardenas. Senorina was a member of St. Henry’s Catholic Church. She will be dearly be loved and missed by all. The family would like to thank Dr. John Markeson and Encompass Home Health and Hospice, especially for Lisa and Lori for their loving care of our mother. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Henry’s Catholic Church, 380 South 200 East, Brigham City. Vigil and Rosary services will be held on Thursday, March 27th at 5:00 p.m. and a viewing will follow from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, Utah. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.

My heart goes out to the whole family. I have such wonderful memories of Senorina growing up. Corinne birtday parties, visiting with Grandma Pilar Mendez, Consuelo and the girls hanging out and letting me tag along. Love you all and may God bless you and your family through this difficult time
