Celebration of life: to be held at a later date
BRIGHAM CITY – Our loving sweetheart, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and a friend to all, Raymond Martin Sheehan, 70, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George, Utah. He was born on Oct. 3, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan, a son of John Sheehan and Cathalene Gerson. His mother, Cathalene passed away when he was young, and John married Helen Walker and Helen was his true mother. Ray served in the US Air Force from 1962 to 1966 receiving an honorable discharge. He married Norma Kay Pierce on June 10, 1967 in Los Angeles, California. She preceded him in death on Mar. 11, 1999. Ray married Pat Stegen on Nov. 2, 2000 in Elko, Nevada. He worked for 45 years and retired from Hercules, later ATK in 1999. Ray loved motorcycle racing, riding motor bikes, boating, fixing bikes, fishing, camping, and his most favorite is tinkering. He adored his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Pat, Brigham City; five daughters, Peggy (James) Butler, Willard; Darlene (Jon) Fisher, Syracuse; Stephanie Stegen, Vicki L. (Earle) Gould both of Brigham City; Ronda (Willie) Starks, Syracuse; 30 grandchildren and many great grandchildren; five siblings, Richard, Dorothy, John, Pete and Bill. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, and one son, Ronald Keith Sheehan. A celebration of life for Ray will be held at a later date.
