My thoughts go out to the Erickson family. Marlene was a good friend of our family and tended my brother Jason and I for years. She was a great person and will be missed dearly. Thank you for taking care of us Marlene!
Lyle and family,
We are so sorry for you loss. Marlene basically raised Jason and Becky during the day while we worked. She was a loving and patient person. I was always so amazed that she could do what she did with all the kids she cared for. My kids thrived with her help and love. She will be missed by all the people whose lives she touched. Thank you Marlene for all you done for us and our kids!!

This is for the family of Marlene Peterson. That's the name I remember. We went through school together. She lived about a block and a half away from me but mostly we saw each other in school. I knew the twins by sight and we would wave at each other, but that was about it. Marlene and I finally became friends in Mr. Larsen's English class for we sat next to each other. She was a sweetheart and I saw the goodness that came from inside. I will always have good feelings when I think of her. She also married my best friend, Mike. Mike and I also were friends through grade school and high school. I was the runt of the litter and Mike kept the big kids from fighting me. I finally got my spurt of growth in high school so we were about the same size and were now friends as equals. I have so many good memories of Mike and Marlene. Just thought I'd let you know I think of them often for they are part of my early life and are in my life story I have written for my family. I moved the day after graduation from high school and didn't come back until about 1996 so I lost track of them. From the obit is sounds like Marlene had a good life and was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. No one could ask more than having a good family.
I can't believe that Marlene is gone. I knew her in high school and she raised my kids for me as I worked. I will always LOVE you Marlene. You will always be in my heart!
