BRIGHAM CITY – Our father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Junior Weldon Jeppsen, 82, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at the Brigham City Community Hospital. He was born on December 15, 1931 in Brigham City, Utah, a son of Daniel Peter and Rasminnie Jacobsen Jeppsen. He was reared and educated in Brigham City. Junior married Lou-Dean Dickey on February 17, 1955 in Ogden, Utah. They were later divorced on March 3, 1976. He then married Alice Apodaca on August 25, 1983 in Willard, Utah. They were later divorced. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a mechanic his whole life, but his life was cars, motor bikes, fishing and the outdoors. Surviving are six children: Rick W. (Glenda) Jeppsen; Teena (Tony) Mathis; Steven D. (Kris) Jeppsen; Raul (Shanna) Hernandez; Liz Hernandez; Hope Hernandez; 20 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, one great-great grandson; three siblings, Don Rulon Jeppsen; Von J. Jeppsen and Wanda Hammer. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Rodney Weldon Jeppsen, 8 brothers, four sisters and one great grandson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Brigham City LDS 3rd Ward Chapel, 204 North 200 West. A viewing will be held on Saturday at the church from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Mantua City Cemetery.
