WILLARD – James Dooley Frazier (Jim) passed away at home attended by his loving wife and family early Sunday morning, February 16, 2014 after a long but courageous struggle. Jim never complained. When asked how he was feeling he always answered, “Real Good”. Jim was born August 7, 1930. He married Beverly Sanders in San Diego, CA. They had one daughter, Ila Dee Frazier (Buttons). Jim and Beverly were later divorced. He married Katie Waldron Evans who preceded him in death. He married Frances Heil on June 26, 2004. James served honorably in the US Navy on the U.S.S. Jason during the Korean Conflict. As a young boy he worked on his grandfather’s farm in Elwood prior to moving to San Diego where he graduated from high school. He later returned to Utah and retired from Thiokol. Thru his marriage to Frances, Jim had many children and grandchildren whom he loved and in return they loved him dearly. Jim is survived by his wife, Frances Heil Frazier; daughter, Ila Dee Rodda (Buttons); step children, Kevin (JoAnne) Heil; Sandra (Glade) Lott; Keith (Tressa) Heil and many grandchildren and great grandchildren and others whose lives he touched. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a baby brother. Jim was a kind, quiet and gentle man who said he learned more by listening than talking. He often remarked that the time he was married to Frances were the happiest years of his life. In that time he never said a harsh word and the strongest words he spoke were “shit fire”. Jim’s gentle spirit will be greatly missed. We look forward to our future reunion with Jim. Many thanks to the kind caregivers of AFI Hospice; Wendy, Brenda, Kathy, Annette, Sherry and to Dr. John Markeson. A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 11:00 to 11:40 a.m. followed by services at 12 Noon at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, UT. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery where military honors will be accorded by Combined Box Elder County Honor Guard.

I got to know Jim while I worked at the Brigham Medical Clinic. He was always quiet, gentle, and very polite. I include him in my favorite people that I miss since I retired!!!!
