BRIGHAM CITY- James Clifford Tuveson passed away November 2, 2014 from a battle with cancer. James was born on May 3, 1932 to Jens and Ellen Wanner Tuveson. He was raised in Smithfield and served 21 years in the United States Air Force followed by fifteen years at HAFB. He married his sweetheart Donna Godwin in 1954. James enjoyed gardening, fishing hunting and spending time in his workshop. He also loved being with his family. He leaves behind his wife Donna of 60 years and three daughters, Rita Criger, Laura Desmarais and Kathy Painter (Frank); three step children Jerry Deatry (Chrys), Steven Deatry, and Julia Duke; three brothers Virgil of Roy, Kenneth of Smithfield and Thomas of Grand Junction. James had eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, one sister-in-law and one son-in-law. A viewing will be held on Thursday November 6, 2014 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South Brigham City, Utah, with a graveside service to follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Smithfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family wishes that a donation be made to the Huntsman Cancer Center at McKay-Dee Hospital.
