Brigham City – Our loving mother, grandma, grandma great, great-great grandma and friend, Gene Hess Bouck, 92, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 18, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on February 21, 1922 in Brigham City, Utah, the youngest child of Seymour B and Phyllis Laub Hess. She graduated from Box Elder High School and attended Utah State and Weber State Colleges. She was a member of the LDS Church where she had various callings. Gene married Harold A. Bouck, Jr. on October 5, 1944 and had four children, Darlene, Debbie, infant son, and Tyler. She lost her husband to cancer in 1977. She was a homemaker and worked as a secretary for the government and the Box Elder School District. Gene enjoyed dancing, gardening, golfing, playing bridge, cooking and supporting her kids and grandkids in school and sport activities. She was also an avid Jazz and S.F. 49ers fan. Grandma, you were the heart of our family and will forever be the thread that stitches us together. Your great traditions will live on. We will always miss our foxy grandma! Surviving are three children, Darlene (Jack) Payton; Debbie Ebeling; Tyler (Blanche) Bouck; nine wonderful grandchildren, Lisa, Bob, Holly, Mindy, David, Nicole, Chelsea, Tyson and Jenny;16 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, and dear friend, Glenn Richards. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son, brothers and spouses: Sid (Irene); Tracy (Henrietta) and Art (Lydia) Hess. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Brigham City Cemetery, 495 East 500 South. Special thanks is extended to the staff of Integrity Hospice, especially, Tonie, April, Nicole and Mickell for their incredible compassionate service.

dear family, our family is sad to hear of your mom's passing. She was our mom's best friend from many years back. We visited at your home several times and thought your mom was so nice. Our moms enjoyed class reunions together. Our love to you. children of Elaine Stauffer Moyes Our mom passed almost three years and we still miss talking to her.
