Brigham City – Dorothy Davis Knudson, 97, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014 in Brigham City, Utah. She was born on May 18, 1917 in Brigham City, Utah, a daughter of William T. and Sarah Harding Davis. She was reared and educated graduating from Box Elder High School and LDS Business College. Dorothy married Owen Dennis Knudson on Dec. 3, 1937 in the Logan LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on Sept. 29, 2004. She was an active member of the Brigham City LDS 6th Ward. She retired from Thiokol as an Administrative Secretary. Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, reading, traveling, dancing and loved to cook. Surviving are three children: Ray (Karin) Knudson, Salt Lake City; Dixie Reeves of Brigham City; Linda (Dean) Reeder, Salt Lake City; eight grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Owen, one son-in-law, Dwight Reeves, one grandson, four sisters and two brothers. The family would like to thank Dr. Markeson, Nicole and Linda Hansen, and neighbors, John, and Nelda. Services will be held on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 11:00 am at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City. Viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00 to 10:45 am. Interment in the Brigham City Cemetery.
