BEAR RIVER CITY - Monte Misrasi, 71, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2013 at his home in Bear River City, Utah from atherosclerotic and hypertensive cardiovascular disease. He was born on February 4, 1942 in Bear River City, Utah, a son of Nick and Anthina Pulluqi Misrasi. He attended and graduated from Bear River High School in 1960 and attended Weber State College. Monte served in the US Army during the Vietnam War from November 1965 to 1967. He married Kaylyn Gardner in March of 1969 in Elko, Nevada. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Monte was a carpenter and belonged to the Carpenters Union 184 in his entire working career. He retired when he was 60, because of injuries falling off a building. He enjoyed hunting and working. If you had not done a full day work you had wasted it away. Surviving is his wife, Kaylyn; two children, Shane (Layla) Misrasi, Bountiful; Nichol Uhlmann of Boise, ID; five grandchildren, Cole, Caris and Taya Uhlmann and Jace and Tanner Misrasi; two brothers, Eli and Stephen Misrasi. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Lucille Craghead, one brother, Arthur Misrasi, and two nephews, Lynn Misrasi and Robert Craghead. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations made to your favorite charity or do a kind deed to your neighbor in need. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bear River City Cemetery in Bear River City, Utah, where military honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans of Box Elder County.

I want to express my condolences to you. I would have come to the cemetery but my legs are wobbly particularly on grass. I will miss seeing him work on the house on the back road.
