WILLARD - Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend, William "Bill" Vincent Davis, 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 after a lingering illness.
He was born on May 19, 1924 in Faith, South Dakota, a son of Raymond Andrew and Gladys Tibble Davis.
Bill served in the United States Navy during World War II. Although he was unable to finish high school, he became a very successful business owner of Davis & Sons Electric. All of his sons and sons-in-law followed in his footsteps in some form of the electrical trade.
Bill married Agnes Vera Johnson on February 3, 1949 in Hot Springs, South Dakota. After they became members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints they were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on February 29, 1957.
He led by example the importance of hard work, and taught all of his children to take pride in a job well done.
The family would like to thank Ali's Angels and Integrity Home Health and Hospice for their loving care in helping our parents.
Surviving are his wife, Agnes; seven children: Karen Sue Guertin; Harry Lee (Ha) McLeod; Kathy (John) Olson; Kent William (Jean) Davis; Keith Vincent (Cindy) Davis; Kirk Andrew Davis; Kreg Daniel (Jan) Davis; 19 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and one sister, Helen Alden, Sturgis, South Dakota.

I am in Alabama visiting Kayla. I will not be home until after the viewing and funeral. Your Father was always kind and gentle to us. He treated our family wonderful when we we moved to Willard and was really great to my sons Levi and Bryn. Heaven will be lucky to have his presence. May you feel God's arms around at this time. Agnes, I will be thinking of you and your family.
Love and respect,
Our deepest sympathy in your loss - may God be with you all during this difficult time - our love and prayers...
Dear Agnes and family;
Thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. No matter the prior preparations, when one's "time" on this earth is finished, there is a void that is left, only partially filled with the good memories which remain. Cherish those memories.
God bless and keep you all at this difficult time.
Chuck and family
My love to Aunt Agnes and the whole family. I am thinking of all of you.
