Roy - Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, V. Keith Knavel, 64, passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on July 23, 1948 in Brigham City, Utah, a son of George L. and Verda Bowden Knavel.
Keith graduated from Box Elder High School in 1966 and graduated from Salt Lake Community College in 1995 and from Utah State University in 1997.

I am an OUTreach volunteer.  Marian tells me we have met, but I can't remember having done so.  But I don't remember LOTS of things!  We are going to be working together soon and I look forward to that.  //  I lost my Dad last July (2011) and I miss him, still, every single day.  We KNOW this is going to happen, of course we do.  But still, when it does, it's so very difficult.  I saw, in the obituary, that your Dad played his guitar with the Old Time Fiddlers.  My Dad played his harmonica with the Senior Citizens Band in Price.  Memories are what sustain us after we lose a loved one.  For me, it helps, it really does, to talk about the memories, to keep them alive.  And I talk to my Dad (when I'm alone).  That helps too.  //  I'm so sorry he's gone, Bruce - and Mike too.  Come to OUTreach and let us give you hugs.  Hugs help (they really do).  And build more memories with the loved ones who are still here.

Pauline and family, I was lucky to have worked with Keith during his recovery from the accident in February.  He always had a smile for his friends, a tremendous work ethic and a deep love of his family that he shared with me through his stories. It was a joy to work with him and get to know him.  My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you during this mourning period and always.

I am very sorry about Keith's passing.  Although we were only "shirttail" relatives, I understand that we have a common ancestors on the Bowden side.  I wonder if you would be willing to call me at 801-392-3022 in Ogden and we could talk.  I know that Verda had a lot of geneology on the Bowdens and I'd like to talk to you abou it.
Thanks so very much for your consideration
