BRIGHAM CITY - Our loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, Terrance Brent McGowan, 51, passed away suddenly from an apparent heart attack.
He was born on September 4, 1961 in Seattle, Washington, a son of Sharon McGilvery. Terry graduated from Highland High School in Salt Lake City.
He married his sweetheart, Joy Othic on June 27, 1987 in Spokane, Washington. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Seattle LDS Temple on December 9, 2000.
Terry loved fly and ice fishing, loved the outdoors, liked coaching youth sports, watching football and collecting toy helicopters, but the love of his life was being with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Joy their four children, Dustin (Keisha) McGowan, Spanish Fork; Mallory, Kelsey and Brendan McGowan all of Brigham City and one granddaughter on the way.
He was greeted by his mother, Sharon and one brother, Aaron Rose to heaven.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Brigham City LDS 20th Ward Chapel, 650 Anderson Drive.
A viewing will be held at the church from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
I worked with Terry for 3 years @ Insight Exhibits, he was a good MAN, I am so sorry for your loss.
I had the pleasure of coaching little league football with Terry for many years. What a great role model for our kids and dedicated father we will surely miss.
I’ve had the opportunity to work with Terry on and off over the years, His creativity and design incite was second to none. He was a fine man.
