Byron Collin Butler

Viewing: Friday, June 22nd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, UT and on Saturday at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 p.m.
Services: Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brigham City LDS 11th Ward Chapel, 506 South 200 East.
Interment: Brigham City Cemetery.
He was born on August 7, 1957 in Calgary, Canada, a son of Roscoe (Roy) and Joyce Marlene Williams Tuft.
Byron was raised and educated in Brigham City and graduated from Box Elder High School in 1975.
He married Susan Goss in January 1976. Their marriage was solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. From this marriage they had three children, Mike, Pam, and April. They were later divorced. He married Pat Christensen in 1990 and they were later divorced. Byron married his eternal companion Nancy Sobers Gammon on May 27, 2000 in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.
He served in the US Army Reserves.
Byron enjoyed working at ATK for 30 years as an electronic technician before taking a medical retirement.
Byron enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, airplane models, science, collecting coins, movies, sports, boating, drawing and sketching.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy, Brigham City; nine children, Michael Butler, Pam Butler, April Butler, Seth Gammon, Sarah Gammon (Dean) Redington; Katrina Gammon (Mike) Hinrichsen, Kristen Gammon, Sean Gammon and Scott Gammon; one granddaughter, Destany Hatch; his parents, Roscoe (Roy) and Joyce Tuft; nine siblings, Donald (Valme) Butler; Barbara Kim (Bill) Johnston; Tom (Gloria) Butler; Kevin Butler, Mary (Marcel) Willden; Rex (Shelly) Butler; Brenda Belmonte; Mike Tuft; Troy Tuft.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Beverly Butler and his grandparents, John and Maurine Williams.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brigham City LDS 11th Ward Chapel, 506 South 200 East.
A viewing will be held on Friday, June 22nd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, UT and on Saturday at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 p.m.
Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
